war against the Kachin people has gone under the radar of the
mainstream media for over a year. Only a few days ago the Kachin
commemorated a year since the Military Junta of Burma first broke a 17
year old ceasefire. It’s been a tumultuous time in *Kachinland with
heavy shelling and gun battles accruing casualties from both junta and
Kachin forces. Vanquished Burmese troops surrendered to elite Kachin
troops; battles rage across the region threatening major trade routes
and pipelines and the media is still asleep at the wheel. At least Suu
Kyi told a packed and bedazzled UK Parliament about the plight of the
Kachin people. The ‘New Lies of Myanmar’ will undoubtedly have a field
day with that revelation.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Burmese troops
continue to terrorize and murder in usual flare, innocent civilians
continue to be killed indiscriminately and not just in Kachinland.
Nearly 80,000 internally displaced Jinghpaw people filled refugee
centers months ago and the population continues to grow in yet another
human tragedy. In spite of economic hardships in the region the
impassioned **Chinese community of Myitkyina donated 20 million kyat
(US$23,529) to help ease the suffering of the Kachin IDP’s in this noble
gesture. For them, this saga is very real and unfolding before their
eyes. This act of compassion says volumes about the fabric of the
Chinese community in Kachinland and I applaud their efforts.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>How
much longer will the mainstream media continue to ignore the Kachinland
War in Burma? Exactly how many people must be killed and infrastructure
destroyed before the world responds to Burma’s ethnic cleansing of the
Kachin people? The ink is not even dry on ***Shan State’s truce and
Burmese troops continue to attack Shan troops and positions. ****The New
Mon State Party is growing suspicious of Burma’s pseudo ceasefire and
curious stipulations. What a contrast to this image of a new and
improved Burma. It is as if the 2008 and the 2010 elections never
happened for the Kachin, Shan, Mon, Rakhine and a host of other tribes
who don’t get western media attention. In reality these elections were a
sham anyway.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>If ever there was a David
and Goliath tale to be told it would have to be about the Kachin
soldiers and their allies who continue to fend off hoards of well
equipped and supplied Burmese troops loaded with aircraft, artillery and
heavy armor. Biological and Chemical Weapons are used with impunity on
civilian targets by the Nay Pyi Daw Cartel thugs. To the junta’s chagrin
victory is hard fought and the very existence of the Jinghpaw people is
a testament to the grit and determination of the KIO, KIA and their
growing list of allies & supporters who oppose Burma’s eugenic
aspirations against the Jinghpaw. </strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Raw
courage and absolute faith within their Christian belief system along
with intensive training are key elements in achieving the impossible for
Kachin soldiers. They are the true heroes of this ‘Secret War” in
Southeast Asia for they are protecting their people from genocide plain
and simple. The Kachin are not going to give up on their people and
ancient homeland any time soon. No matter how many western mining
companies are waiting in the wings to pounce on Kachinland’s natural
resources the Kachin will fight to the last man or woman to protect
their nation. Corporate interests would have been wise to side with the
Kachin rather than thugs and rapists but like the ole saying goes;
“Birds of a Feather Flock Together” and now we know where corporate
loyalties lay.</strong><br />

<h1>
Putting a Face on the People the Media Ignores, ‘The Kachin’</h1>
<div>
<strong><a href="http://lrd.buffalohair-jage.com/?attachment_id=1349" rel="attachment wp-att-1349"><img alt="" height="173" src="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/aaaa.jpg" title="aaaa" width="200" /></a>Not
much is being said about the war in Kachinland. Crimes against
humanity, bold acts of genocide being committed and the mainstream media
is silent. Men, women and children are being tortured and slaughtered
by the Burmese government and all we can think of is lifting sanctions
and gaining access to Kachinland’s burgeoning natural resources. Small
wonder mankind is screwed.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>Over 75
thousand Kachin refugees are packing centers along the border to well
over capacity in yet another humanitarian crisis. Disease and hunger
already plague the survivors of Burma’s genocide. Just remember it was
the junta that broke a 17 year old ceasefire in the first place about a
year ago in Kachinland. Conveniently called an internal issue, the west
chooses to ignore this criminal intrusion into sovereign Kachin
territory. It is a crime of epic proportions to allow for Burma to
murder their way into another sovereign nation yet the UN (Useless
Nimrods) does nothing, as usual.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>The only thing
that stands in the way of total devastation is the soldiers of the
Kachin Independence Organization and the Kachin Independence Army. With
limited resources they are fighting a valiant war to defend the lives of
their people from Burmese marauders who wish to take over their
resource rich nation. With the help of the western media this struggle
for survival has gone on with very little notice for over a year. Only
now word is getting out around the world and people are beginning to
asking why this is happening.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>The Kachin are an
ancient culture who has occupied this territory for well over 7,000
years, according to Chinese archeologists who’ve dated artifacts found
in Kachin occupied regions both in China and Burma. The Kachin have a
history that intermingles with other tribes of Asia and these alliances
run deep and all the way in the China’s CCP. This could explain the
turmoil within China’s government when addressing the Kachin issue since
there are literally millions of people who sympathize with the Kachin
throughout China and Asia.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>In America’s hast to
gain a foothold in Asian politics and resources they set themselves back
centuries by ignoring the Kachin. According to many Asian observers
America showed the worst face possible to the Asian world by turning
their back on an old ally. It was said the west was a superficial
culture and the betrayal of the Kachin only solidified their view of
this immature culture. Whether Asians were pro or anti west the betrayal
of the Kachin will be remembered within the history of many Asian
cultures associated with the Kachin. Ignorance or ambivalence to Asia’s
complex alliances and associations will be the west’s ultimate undoing.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>The
Kachin are human beings just like you and I. They have embraced western
religion and live with honor & respect and I find that very
appealing. In fact it is their indomitable faith that has kept them
together through this holocaust, absolute faith. Their adherence to
Christian morality while retaining their ancient customs is a rich blend
and a complement to their culture. I always find myself overwhelmed by
their generosity and warmth at gatherings and their homes. They are an
intelligent, articulate people and truly an asset to the communities
they reside in. I do love their food and if you were ever fortunate
enough to dine with the Kachin you will know what I am talking about. So
I ask; why is it OK to let these people be slaughtered in cold blood?</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>My
personal bond with the Kachin is as ancient as the story about the
eldest of 7 brothers within Kachin oral history. Within this tale of
Shan Htoi Gam is a link the Kachin hold close to their hearts and that
is their sacred bond with the natives of the Americas. Within the
context of their oral history they lay claim to blood lineage to my
people. It is ironic they are suffering much like my people did about
100 years ago. And it’s the same old thing, they live on resource rich
land and someone else wants to steal it from them. Only this time
corporate interests are allowing the corrupt junta of Burma to do their
dirty work much like General George Armstrong Custer did in America.
It’s OK to let Kachin be murdered for its ‘Manifest Destiny’ that
Kachinland be striped of her natural wealth so industry can prosper. The
extermination of the Kachin people is just collateral damage.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>Kachinland
is not a part of Burma for the Kachin people fought long and hard along
side allied forces to preserve their autonomy. General Aung San of
Burma worked with ethnic groups to form the Panglong Agreement of 1947
giving both Kachinland and other ethnic nation’s autonomy before he was
assassinated. It makes me wonder who actually signed Aung San’s death
sentence. To listen to the western media you would think the Kachin
Freedom Fighters were simply ‘rebels’ or some minor dissident faction
when nothing could be further from the truth. They are soldiers fighting
for their nation and the world is being deceived. Why doesn’t anyone
question the media about their veritable news blackout of Kachinland
news? I stand with the Kachin and it’s about time the rest of the world
did the same.</strong><br />

<h1>
Thingyan, Texas Style</h1>
<strong><a href="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/archives/1282/aa1/" rel="attachment wp-att-1283"><img alt="" height="163" src="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/aa1.jpg" title="aa1" width="200" /></a>This
last month took me to several Buddhist monasteries. One in particular
was the *Lien Hoa Buddhist Temple and Monastery in Irving Texas who
hosted ‘Thingyan’ for the Burmese community. The event was lead by the
Venerable Silar Nanda who presided over the activities, known as the
water festival or New Years Celebration. And it was quite an event
indeed.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>I could not attend all the Thingyan celebrations I was
invited to but I am truly glad I made this event. It did not matter from
what quarter one resided within the Burmese community smiles and the
feeling of joy was universal. Though I was filming the event I did
manage to enjoy the traditional foods of Burma and that was a tasty
treat to behold. They put on the feed bag Texas Style. Guess you could
say the food earned a 5 star rating since there was a variety of ethnic
classics to dine on and dine I did.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Nothing like a good ole Buddhist gathering to lift ones
spirits and this gathering was no exception. I was there early and you
could feel the energy in the air as people began to arrive and it was
very heartening to note that everyone pitched in. What I truly enjoyed
was watching the kids as they played sang and danced the day away. The
entertainment was more a journey of cultural diversity as traditional
Thingyan songs were sung from a variety of ethnic groups that attended.
It was a culturally enriching celebration and all performances were
great. Knowing the suffering these refugees endured before coming to
America it was heart rendering to see them all smiling, laughing and
enjoying the celebration, deep in the heart of Texas. Yee Haw!</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>As I watched the event I could not help but notice the care that was given for every detail in<a href="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/archives/1282/aa2/" rel="attachment wp-att-1284"><img alt="" height="144" src="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/aa2.jpg" title="aa2" width="200" /></a>
costume and performance by even the youngest kids who danced their
tribal dances. I was entranced by the exotic movements of the
performers, the precision movements of their arms, legs and hands. The
grace and elegance added to the allure of their traditional dance. Then a
group of Rakhine men came on stage to perform their Thingyan dance.
Dressed in their traditional regalia they literally were show stoppers
with their robust Rakhine songs and dance. What stamina, their sets
lasted over 10 minutes a piece! These guys rocked big time and I found
myself singing along with them as they mesmerized their audience with
this energized performance.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Outside of the temple was joyous and full of laughter as the
water festival played out in true Thingyan style. Everyone got into the
act as water cannons, squirt bottles and anything that would hold water
ushered in the New Year while offering good will for the future. There
was a unique ride of sorts at this event I found quite entertaining and
that was **‘Paul’s Gyrogym’. The Gyrogym was originally use by NASA to
train astronauts and basically this device spun you every way from up
and down to sideways, sort of like simulating a space capsule tumbling
in space. This gyrogym was an awesome addition to the Thingyan
Celebration. It would appear all these kids were made of the right stuff
because they loved this futuristic relic of the Space Program and no
one lost their lunch. And there was Paul with his Viking Helmet with
those horns spinning the kids around. All I saw were plenty of smiles
and maybe a glimpse of a future Burmese Astronaut.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>After looking into this device it would appear there are some
major health benefits to all this spinning around. If you never saw one
it would be worth checking out for fun or health reasons. Hmm, that was
some shameless promotion eh. In any event this Thingyan Celebration was
a great success and a wonderful time for everyone within the Burmese
community to sing and laugh together. It was a privilege to be a part of
this festival and to share in the merriment and I’ll definitely come
back next year. Did I mention that the food was excellent? Well it was
and I do love the variety of ethnic foods this event had to offer. This
event was truly a taste of Burma in more ways than one and the Venerable
Silar Nanda served his community well.</strong><br />

<a href="http://buffalohair.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/miwok-wikileaks-reveal-corruption-all-the-way-to-congress/everonebalony/" rel="attachment wp-att-21352"><img alt="" src="http://buffalohair.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/everonebalony.gif?w=450" title="everonebalony" /></a><strong>Clearly
the Everone/Ludwig Files that were released to public access during the
attempted take over of the California Valley Miwok Tribe have opened up
a Pandora’s Box. Writhe with names, dates and personal transmissions
from some of the most affluent politicians in the United States of
America spells absolute corruption. The Everone/Ludwig Files clearly
identify conspiracy and corruption from billionaire politicians and
developers alike whom chose to break both state and federal laws while
under the guise legality. </strong><br />
<br />
<br />
The paper trail I followed began with Dianne Feinstein and her
personal friends formerly employed within the California Gambling
Control Commission whom still enjoy strong and influential ties to that
organization and the Bureau of Indian Affairs who have in violation of
The Federal Code of Regulations (CFR 25) once again as in the past
withheld tribal funds in essence effectually starving the CVMT out of
existence. Though the Miwok were vindicated and Yakima Dixie disgraced,
admitted to the original lie that originated this sham in the first
place, the tribe is still without means. It was with the stroke of
Under-Secretary of the BIA/DOI Larry EchoHawk’s pen on the
re-affirmation of the department’s final agency action that mature
status contract funding is now being wrongfully withheld from the tribe
in spite of the totality of the fraud perpetrated against this proud and
impoverished sovereign tribal nation. Guess that means that, if you’re
rich enough and have political standing you are above the law and fraud
is acceptable conduct as in the case of Dianne Feinstein and all her
political and bureaucratic cronies.<br />
<br />
<br />
I’ve only scratched the surface of the over 2,500 files Chadd
Everone/Ludwig painstakingly collected. Frankly I was overwhelmed by the
shear number of politicians and businessmen, carpetbaggers and
gold-diggers that were involved. Senators, Representatives and
Congressmen on both sides of the isle are implicated and their personal
e-mails tell a very compelling story of absolute corruption just to
build a casino. The California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger was
involved according to an e-mail from his office. Even the military was
not spared by the Everone Files since it clearly identified a retired
Rear Admiral of the US Navy who was trying to gain control of Treasure
Island as a possible location for the casino, “Once the Tribe is
secured”. What a shame it is to realize Indian Wars are still raging
within the borders of The Land of the Free.<br />
<br />
<br />
The frosting on the cake was when Chadd Everone/Ludwig casually
stated to a question in open testimony what amounted to that Albert
Seeno flew Congressmen George Miller to Washington in his private jet on
numerous occasions to visit with Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein,
Barbara Boxer and other influential high ranking elected officials to
discuss the Miwok situation. There is a vast amount of information on
these political figures and government employee’s, more than I could
possibly relate in the confines of this story. It’s a good thing these
juicy tidbits were made available for public record for there are more
people implicated in this wholesale miscarriage of the public’s trust.
Just for the record the University of Berkley, Californias’ Anthropology
and Sciences Department cronies of Everone were in on the scam up to
their eyelids according to documents, e-mails and other transmissions
Chadd managed to collect.<br />
<br />
<br />
Though there will be many more future revelations the Everone Files
will undoubtedly expose there is another story here I do believe. What
was Chadd going to do with all the documents he copied and stored on his
web site? From all indicators it would appear he was collecting the
goods on all the politicians he could get his hands on since these doc’s
are very revealing to say the least. But wasn’t Albert Seeno his
co-conspirator? Why was Chadd collecting the goods on Albert &
Associates and another investor named Kuna as well as all the dirty
politicians this scam brought into the limelight?<br />
<br />
<br />
There is no honor among thieves and it would appear Chadd Everone was
ultimately working for himself since his files are very incriminating
to everyone involved. On the streets there was once a code of silence.
Guess Chadd failed Wiseguy 101 and now everyone he was associated with
will have to pay the price for his wikileaking in the now infamous
Everone Files. With insiders and soon to be revealed co-conspirators in
the DoJ it’s a small wonder none of these players need to worry about
raids from the feds. The Everone Files also identify DoJ employees who
are currently in ca-hoots and like I said, this is only the tip of the
iceberg since I’ve only read a hand full of documents at this time. The
business contract Yakima signed was a total fraud giving “Friends of
Yakima” controlled exclusively by Chadd Everone, absolute financial
control of the tribe while sidestepping well established federal Indian
law. Yakima’s last will and testament was another masterpiece in fraud
since it made Yakima’s descendants culpable for payments for generations
to come. Chadd himself authored this document and being no attorney his
lack of legal prowess is obvious.<br />
<br />
<br />
On a side bar Chadd argues he was a PhD even though he never received
his degree from a credible university. He simply decided he was a PhD,
just because it makes him feel smarter. Eventually other journalists
will wade into Chadd’s 2,500 documents and dig out even more salacious
material on elected officials who’ve shirked their duty and betrayed
their oath of office. Some of the largest developers in California also
face some major challenges for their participation in this fraud. While
the world is astounded at the magnitude of corruption involved in the
attempted destruction of a sovereign tribal nation, the California
Valley Miwok Tribe will continue to live and run the tribe on
unemployment checks and USDA commodity foods. In America, in this day
and age, really? Is this only as far as we have come in addressing the
civil rights and legal and moral obligations to Americas federally
recognized tribes and their members? How far beyond stupid is that? What
is next for the CVMT? Death threats and crank phone calls are
commonplace and just another day in the life for these people.
Starvation and robbing them of their tribal income failed to eliminate
them. One thing is for sure, now the world has an eye on the California
Valley Miwok Tribe.<br />

are revisiting a story that was posted last week on another site. But
do to technical difficulties or mad politicians the other site was
unable to share this piece. Therefore we are reposting this story before
we run the rest of our series on the Everone/Ludwig Files and
corruption against native people. </i></div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
The California Valley Miwok Tribe made
history and legal precedent preserving the rights of every federally
recognized tribe in the United States of America. They faced
insurmountable odds against powerfully connected well funded developer’s
and corrupt state and federal officials. They wanted to highjack the
Miwok tribe for the sole purpose of building a gambling casino. The plot
thickens because elected officials were also involved in this travesty.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Chadd Everone/Ludwig, Albert Seeno,
Sheppard Mullin and an army of politicians from both sides of the isle
at state and federal levels have been exposed. Over 2,500 documents,
correspondents and court filings downloaded from Chadd Everone/Ludwig’s
web page identify senators, congressmen, state and federal officials
from the BIA, DoJ and other agencies. This intricate web of corruption
has plagued the CVMT for over 12 years as they struggled to save their
tribal sovereignty. The incendiary documents prove beyond a shadow of
doubt the Tribe was targeted to steal their blood lineage by
unscrupulous well funded people. Chadd cried foul but court officers
verified the site was open to the general public and not hacked. Call it
a Native American Wikileaks but the information gained was priceless.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Documents revealed Senator Dianne
Feinstein went out of her way to stop the tribes 638 funding through
crony’s Jerry Gidner of the BIA & Arlo Smith of the Gaming
Commission in an effort to starve the tribe out of existence. In one
response Jerry told Dianne not to worry, letting her know the fix was in
against the tribe. She denied involvement or knowing the criminals
involved in the Miwok scam but documents and e-mails prove otherwise. It
was just a coincidence she was a fellow trustee of a bank with one of
the culprits or maybe she forgot. Dianne’s involvement in the casino
scam and debasing the tribe is all too apparent, even a blind man can
see the CVMT was a victim of fraud and her fingerprints are all over it.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Dianne’s husband’s association with
unscrupulous developer Al Seeno alluded to even more collusive activity
against the Miwok People. Unfortunately she was not the only high
profile politician who used her influence to destroy this feisty band of
natives. Documents reveal deep involvement with other high profile
politicians in bed with common criminals and its well worth the read.
The implications strike at the core of democracy itself and this is only
the tip of the iceberg. There is much more to disclose but I am not
privy to reveal them at this time. But rest assured the Miwok are still
under siege as their counsel’s continue to peel off the many layers of
corruption this case consists of.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Money talks and California still refuses
to give the tribe their funding that was withheld, to the tune of $8
million, as unscrupularity plays out its final hand. Sheppard Mullin
threatened to drag out this case in perpetuity. The federal government
is still in the arrears to the tribe with a bill in excess of $600,000
and it is clear corruption is still waiting in the wings. To make things
even more convoluted, the tribe is yet to be allowed the opportunity to
appear in a hearing involving their case. This is disturbing since it
was also revealed some judges have bias against natives. Why does that
not surprise me?</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Hopefully the feds will not allow the
bogus Newok’s, (a term to describe bogus Miwoks with no heredity) into
the legitimate Miwok Nation when the final decision comes to pass.
Though this tribe proved their legitimacy as the true CVMT, the courts
still skirted the return of tribal funding that was illegally withheld.
CVMT Director of Economic Development/ Consultant Tiger Paulk likened
this to a Pyrrhic victory since the CVMT won but at such a continuing
and devastating cost to the true tribal people and their wellbeing. They
are still in limbo with no funding for infrastructure, social services,
healthcare and the basics of any community but they don’t have to worry
about someone stealing their identity. After all, who would want to be a
federally recognized tribe with no means of survival other than food
stamps and commodity cheese? Hmm, I like commodity cheese.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Under the stewardship of Larry Echohawk
of the BIA justice was served, almost. From the tribes point of view the
government vindicated the tribe and its sovereign rights as a federally
recognized people. Unfortunately the government threw them under the
bus while further litigation continues since they left the tribe to fend
for themselves in spite of their vindication. How far beyond stupid is
that? Or was it intentional? On the bright side, the Obama
Administration did manage to extend unemployment benefits. This is a
blessing to the tribe since they have been fighting for the sovereign
rights of all tribes inAmericaon unemployment checks and spare change.
The irony I found was the fact many nations did not want to get involved
or show solidarity for this tribe but now tribes are using the
precedence the CVMT made in federal court involving sovereignty issues. I
was amazed at the lack of simpatico when I approached a native radio
show in an effort to garner more exposure back in 2007. “They will never
win” was the response I got. Well bonehead, just be glad I don’t snitch
you off for your callous disregard for this nation’s plight.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Later I learned from several elders why
some tribes were hesitant to speak out. No one wanted to loose what
meager funding they already were receiving for fear of retribution from
ruthless BIA officials. Knowing now how deep corruption runs within the
BIA it is a substantiated fear indeed. From Tiger’s perspective it was
not about the money as much as it was about retaining their birth right
and tribal identity. There was plenty of misinformation to swirl around
as well and many people did not know the actual facts about the case.
Spin doctors peppered the communities with bold faced lies as Newok’s
ran around pleading their case to all that would listen. Some folks were
very convincing but a lie is a lie no matter how they dressed or what
they said.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Tiger Paulk spoke to me as to the
tribes’ point of view; “They would rather be the last California Valley
Miwoks on earth and if they died, the tribe would die with them and
cease to exist rather than giving up their lineage to imposters to
falsely represent the tribe for all time.”</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
It was not about stealing a tribe from
some saintly old man named Yakima Dixie. It was about saving the CVMT
from unscrupulous investors and developers whom manipulated an
individual member and tribal elder to sign his nation away in a realm of
fraudulent documents written up by Chadd Everone/Ludwig acting as an
attorney.Yakimawas no cherry but in his defense he was also swindled
from the start since he was not allowed legal representation when Chadd
drafted the infamous documents. Chadd was not an attorney and had no
authority to draft such a document in this guise further compounding the
fraud. Eventually, in federal court under oathYakimacame clean and
recanted all the fraudulent claims he made against his own people
leaving egg on the faces of politicians, developers and bogus Newok’s.
Tiger said at that moment in the room where Mr. Dixie’s sworn deposition
was also being videotaped was precious since all the fraudsters present
lowered their heads while their counsels franticly whispered in dismay.
Isn’t that special?</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
Having tribal documents that
substantiated the legitimate CVMT claims also weighed heavily against
the criminal cartel of politicians, developers andYakima. But the coup
de grace and most incriminating piece of evidence in the case came from
Chadd Everone/Ludwig via his information packed web site for it gave
names, dates and e-mails from all players in this case. The detailed
files and correspondents were most illuminating and showed total
disregard for the law from politicians who were elected to enforce them.
Developers faired no better since the dialogue uncovered a
conspiratorial relationship that is unacceptable in a civil society. The
files are a smoking gun that will truly raise eye brows for years to
come. The revelations are sure to taint even the most illustrious
political careers of so called public officials and history will not be
kind. It would be interesting to note what other cases these harbingers
of fraud are involved in and there is no question the web of corruption
will grow as the contents of Everone’s files are fully realized.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
There are no words that could do justice
in describing Tribal Chairperson Silvia Burley. Educated, articulate,
determined and well versed in tribal law, Silvia is a cut above and even
in the face of total disrespect from attorneys and government officials
she forged forward. In spite of threats to her and her nation’s lives
and livelihoods she marched forward in true warrior flare. Tiger Paulk
calls her the Miwok SEAL with regard to her ‘special forces’ like
prowess in the in all matters concerning the tribe. The dark side to
this case is the fact veiled threats flew against her and her people. I
guess you can toss in courage for she stood her ground and refused to
back down or give an inch. Legal Counsels Robert A. Rosette LLC and
Manuel Corrales ESQ are proof nobility still exists in the world for
their legal expertise in this case is priceless.</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
There is no question I left out volumes
of interesting and incriminating details within the context of this
story. I suggest you log onto the California Valley Miwok Tribe site.
They have all adjoining court documents of this landmark case. There
will be more updates in the future as this case hopefully comes to a
close in the future</div>
<div style="color: black;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: black;">
</span><br />
<div style="color: black;">
<i>(Since the original posting of this
story the web page was under attack so many people did not have the
opportunity to read this story of corruption. Therefore we are reposting
this piece since this is only one of a series of stories that will
identify corruption at it’s core thanks to Chadd Everone/Ludwig and his
comprehensive files that list names, dates and absolute corruption
within state and federal government., Enjoy)</i></div>

<a data-mce-href="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/archives/998/miwok-tribe/" href="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/archives/998/miwok-tribe/" rel="attachment wp-att-999"><img alt="" data-mce-src="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/miwok-tribe.jpg" height="192" src="http://bgi.buffalohair-jage.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/miwok-tribe.jpg" title="miwok-tribe" width="200" /></a><strong>The
California Valley Miwok Tribe made history and legal precedent
preserving the rights of every federally recognized tribe in the United
States of America. They faced insurmountable odds against powerfully
connected well funded developer’s and corrupt state and federal
officials. They wanted to highjack the Miwok tribe for the sole purpose
of building a gambling casino. The plot thickens because elected
officials were also involved in this travesty.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
Chadd
Everone/Ludwig, Albert Seeno, Sheppard Mullin and an army of politicians
from both sides of the isle at state and federal levels have been
exposed. Over 2,500 documents, correspondents and court filings
downloaded from Chadd Everone/Ludwig’s web page identify senators,
congressmen, state and federal officials from the BIA, DoJ and other
agencies. This intricate web of corruption has plagued the CVMT for over
12 years as they struggled to save their tribal sovereignty. The
incendiary documents prove beyond a shadow of doubt the Tribe was
targeted to steal their blood lineage by unscrupulous well funded
people. Chadd cried foul but court officers verified the site was open
to the general public and not hacked. Call it a Native American
Wikileaks but the information gained was priceless.<br />
<br />
<br />
Documents
revealed Senator Dianne Feinstein went out of her way to stop the tribes
638 funding through crony’s Jerry Gidner of the BIA & Arlo Smith of
the Gaming Commission in an effort to starve the tribe out of
existence. In one response Jerry told Dianne not to worry, letting her
know the fix was in against the tribe. She denied involvement or knowing
the criminals involved in the Miwok scam but documents and e-mails
prove otherwise. It was just a coincidence she was a fellow trustee of a
bank with one of the culprits or maybe she forgot. Dianne’s involvement
in the casino scam and debasing the tribe is all too apparent, even a
blind man can see the CVMT was a victim of fraud and her fingerprints
are all over it.<br />
<br />
<br />
Dianne’s husband’s association with unscrupulous
developer Al Seeno alluded to even more collusive activity against the
Miwok People. Unfortunately she was not the only high profile politician
who used her influence to destroy this feisty band of natives.
Documents reveal deep involvement with other high profile politicians in
bed with common criminals and its well worth the read. The implications
strike at the core of democracy itself and this is only the tip of the
iceberg. There is much more to disclose but I am not privy to reveal
them at this time. But rest assured the Miwok are still under siege as
their counsel’s continue to peel off the many layers of corruption this
case consists of.<br />
<br />
<br />
Money talks and California still refuses to give
the tribe their funding that was withheld, to the tune of $8 million,
as unscrupularity plays out its final hand. Sheppard Mullin threatened
to drag out this case in perpetuity. The federal government is still in
the arrears to the tribe with a bill in excess of $600,000 and it is
clear corruption is still waiting in the wings. To make things even more
convoluted, the tribe is yet to be allowed the opportunity to appear in
a hearing involving their case. This is disturbing since it was also
revealed some judges have bias against natives. Why does that not
surprise me?<br />
<br />
<br />
Hopefully the feds will not allow the bogus Newok’s,
(a term to describe bogus Miwoks with no heredity) into the legitimate
Miwok Nation when the final decision comes to pass. Though this tribe
proved their legitimacy as the true CVMT, the courts still skirted the
return of tribal funding that was illegally withheld. CVMT Director of
Economic Development/ Consultant Tiger Paulk likened this to a Pyrrhic
victory since the CVMT won but at such a continuing and devastating cost
to the true tribal people and their wellbeing. They are still in limbo
with no funding for infrastructure, social services, healthcare and the
basics of any community but they don’t have to worry about someone
stealing their identity. After all, who would want to be a federally
recognized tribe with no means of survival other than food stamps and
commodity cheese? Hmm, I like commodity cheese.<br />
<br />
<br />
Under the
stewardship of Larry Echohawk of the BIA justice was served, almost.
From the tribes point of view the government vindicated the tribe and
its sovereign rights as a federally recognized people. Unfortunately the
government threw them under the bus while further litigation continues
since they left the tribe to fend for themselves in spite of their
vindication. How far beyond stupid is that? Or was it intentional? On
the bright side, the Obama Administration did manage to extend
unemployment benefits. This is a blessing to the tribe since they have
been fighting for the sovereign rights of all tribes in America on
unemployment checks and spare change. The irony I found was the fact
many nations did not want to get involved or show solidarity for this
tribe but now tribes are using the precedence the CVMT made in federal
court involving sovereignty issues. I was amazed at the lack of
simpatico when I approached a native radio show in an effort to garner
more exposure back in 2007. “They will never win” was the response I
got. Well bonehead, just be glad I don’t snitch you off for your callous
disregard for this nation’s plight.<br />
<br />
<br />
Later I learned from several
elders why some tribes were hesitant to speak out. No one wanted to
loose what meager funding they already were receiving for fear of
retribution from ruthless BIA officials. Knowing now how deep corruption
runs within the BIA it is a substantiated fear indeed. From Tiger’s
perspective it was not about the money as much as it was about retaining
their birth right and tribal identity. There was plenty of
misinformation to swirl around as well and many people did not know the
actual facts about the case. Spin doctors peppered the communities with
bold faced lies as Newok’s ran around pleading their case to all that
would listen. Some folks were very convincing but a lie is a lie no
matter how they dressed or what they said.<br />
<br />
<br />
Tiger Paulk spoke to me
as to the tribes’ point of view; “They would rather be the last
California Valley Miwoks on earth and if they died, the tribe would die
with them and cease to exist rather than giving up their lineage to
imposters to falsely represent the tribe for all time.”<br />
<br />
<br />
It was not
about stealing a tribe from some saintly old man named Yakima Dixie. It
was about saving the CVMT from unscrupulous investors and developers
whom manipulated an individual member and tribal elder to sign his
nation away in a realm of fraudulent documents written up by Chadd
Everone/Ludwig acting as an attorney. Yakima was no cherry but in his
defense he was also swindled from the start since he was not allowed
legal representation when Chadd drafted the infamous documents. Chadd
was not an attorney and had no authority to draft such a document in
this guise further compounding the fraud. Eventually, in federal court
under oath Yakima came clean and recanted all the fraudulent claims he
made against his own people leaving egg on the faces of politicians,
developers and bogus Newok’s. Tiger said at that moment in the room
where Mr. Dixie’s sworn deposition was also being videotaped was
precious since all the fraudsters present lowered their heads while
their counsels franticly whispered in dismay. Isn’t that special?<br />
<br />
<br />
Having
tribal documents that substantiated the legitimate CVMT claims also
weighed heavily against the criminal cartel of politicians, developers
and Yakima. But the coup de grace and most incriminating piece of
evidence in the case came from Chadd Everone/Ludwig via his information
packed web site for it gave names, dates and e-mails from all players in
this case. The detailed files and correspondents were most illuminating
and showed total disregard for the law from politicians who were
elected to enforce them. Developers faired no better since the dialogue
uncovered a conspiratorial relationship that is unacceptable in a civil
society. The files are a smoking gun that will truly raise eye brows for
years to come. The revelations are sure to taint even the most
illustrious political careers of so called public officials and history
will not be kind. It would be interesting to note what other cases these
harbingers of fraud are involved in and there is no question the web of
corruption will grow as the contents of Everone’s files are fully
realized.<br />
<br />
<br />
There are no words that could do justice in describing
Tribal Chairperson Silvia Burley. Educated, articulate, determined and
well versed in tribal law, Silvia is a cut above and even in the face of
total disrespect from attorneys and government officials she forged
forward. In spite of threats to her and her nation’s lives and
livelihoods she marched forward in true warrior flare. Tiger Paulk calls
her the Miwok SEAL with regard to her ‘special forces’ like prowess in
all matters concerning the tribe. The dark side to this case is the fact
veiled threats flew against her and her people. I guess you can toss in
courage for she stood her ground and refused to back down or give an
inch. Legal Counsels Robert A. Rosette LLC and Manuel Corrales ESQ are
proof nobility still exists in the world for their legal expertise in
this case is priceless.<br />
<br />
<br />
There is no question I left out volumes of
interesting and incriminating details within the context of this story.
I suggest you log onto the California Valley Miwok Tribe site. They
have all adjoining court documents of this landmark case. There will be
more updates in the future as this case hopefully comes to a close in
the future<br />

Federal Emergency Management Agency is in full swing developing and
exercising live disaster drills across the country in an effort to
prepare people for possible catastrophic events. Whether or not you
believe we are living in a time of change, end of the world or simply ma
earth having a bad hair day something is up and it’s time to be more
responsible for the loved ones in your charge. You got to have a game
plan for survival or they will die as well as you. </strong><br />
<br />
Does not matter what part of the planet you live on the possibility
disaster may strike your neck of the woods is growing exponentially
daily. It could be a flood, tornado, cyclone, wild fire, winter storm,
earthquake etc; do you have a contingency plan? What have you done to
prepare for the known events that are common in your region? Do you have
a survival pack at the ready if you have to run out the door? Where
will you go? What about your infant child or elderly grandmother? Are
you prepared to save their lives as well as yourself? Sounds kind of
scary huh and it should because death is a very real consequence if you
don’t take this issue seriously. Disaster will turn into personal
tragedy and nothing worse than watching a loved one die<br />
<br />
As a former associate director of the Office of Emergency Management
& Firefighter I can not stress hard enough how important it is to
have a game plan for survival. I’ve written plans, participated in table
top exercises and full blown exercises with many departments with
mutual aid participation. Ironically I participated in an air crash
scenario exercise after a real passenger jet crashed in Colorado
Springs, United Flight 585, killing all 25 people onboard. What a group
of coordinated professionals they were and it was truly an honor working
with them. Working with multiple agencies in these exercises taught me
the importance of preparedness, cooperation and training. I have FEMA
certifications in my repertoire and though you may not be responsible
for the wellbeing of a community you should have some knowledge of
preparedness this agency has to offer, for your family’s sake. It’s
free.<br />
<br />
Though we live in a world filled with advanced technology there is no
technology that can streamline or expedite an emergency response from
first responders at any level of government. Ask a survivor and they
will tell you it can take a week or more before help arrives since
logistics is a major concern. Will the bridges and roads be passable?
Where will planes land if the airstrip is destroyed? 911 switchboards
will load beyond capacity if you were lucky enough to still have a phone
or electricity. If fires broke out there are no doubts emergency
services will be stretched beyond its limits to contain the blaze.
Rescue operations, security and a host of other concerns will also slow
response time to your location. Be prepared to treat injuries and
bivouac for at least 7 days. Water, Water, Water for without water in 3
days you will die.<br />
<br />
In many cases emergency services within a stricken region can also be
destroyed extending the time before help arrived even more. A dear
friend walked around with a shard of glass impaled in her chest for
weeks before she found assistance after Hurricane Andrew. She lived in
the direct path of the hurricane causing total devastation as far as the
eye could see. Only by shear grit did she survive to tell her tale. The
stories she told me were horrific since human carnage was everywhere
and after a week the air carried the stench of rotting bodies, and help
was still ‘on the way’. Eventually the government dug mass graves and
buried scores of people before pestilence spread throughout Dade County.
Katrina should be a stark reminder that you can’t always depend on
others and it also stresses the point that survival is in your hands
when it comes down to it.<br />
<br />
I worked on the recovery efforts in Los Angeles California after the
1994 Northridge Quake and found many roads impassable at best, even
weeks after the quake. The devastation was astronomical and that was a
little shaker at 6.7 m. but it looked like an atomic bomb struck.
Imagine being woken up at 4:31 in the morning as your house goes surfing
on a seismic wave. For some people they simply woke up to Dante’s
Inferno and were burned to a crisp when a gas main ruptured and caught
fire. Others were crushed to death as building came down like a stack of
pancakes. What I witnessed never made the news as whole sections of the
community were sealed off and away from the public eye. It was hard to
fathom the totality of this disaster but I can safely say some people
never had a chance, survival pack or no survival pack. They were
obliterated in a stew of meat, iron and concrete. My heart still goes
out to those poor souls who died on that fateful day.<br />
<br />
Tornados are another experience I managed to survive in the Pan
Handle of Oklahoma and I really don’t know how I managed to get out of
that one. It was more like a dream as I dodged trees, debris and other
junk as a series of twisters ravaged Northwest Oklahoma and it was late
at night. In hindsight I should have stayed on my rez and gone to a 49
after our social. But what a feeling of helplessness as nature flexed
her might. I truly felt like a little bug waiting to be crushed as I
tried to find safety. Being on the road was not exactly the best place
to be. There were multiple tornados across Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas
with major loss of life on that evening I later learned.<br />
<br />
Gads, I drove through several twisters and had no clue where I was
going since I could not see other than dirt and trees whizzing around
through my headlights. Where was I going to hide? I felt buck naked at
Sunday school in a crowd of nuns. I only caught a glimpse of the
twisters as lightening flashed and transformers exploded. I was
traveling, totally unprepared and unfamiliar with my surroundings and
that was a formula for death if I ever saw one. Maybe I should have
heeded the emergency broadcast warning before I left my nation. At least
I would have known where the shelter was. The Lord protects children
and fools and I guess I qualified. Relatively unscathed, I only had a
broken windshield, some sand blasting on the ole paint job and a need
for another pair of boxers, holay!<br />
<br />
There is no question people will die during any catastrophic event
just by the shear nature of disasters. But with some preplanning you
will increase your survivability quotient 100 fold. Knowing where the
shelter is and paying attention to emergency broadcasts will keep you
out of as much danger as humanly possible. Having a survival pack with
essentials to last at least a week will insure you will not suffer as
much if your community is completely devastated. You must pay attention
to your surroundings and know where to go in a time of crisis. And you
must instruct your family on what to do if you are at work or out of the
house. There are many concerns that should be addressed before a
disaster strikes. For diabetics and other people who require special
medical needs preplanning must include the medications you need to
sustain life including its storage.<br />
<br />
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has provided comprehensive
tips, guides and a host of resources so you can responsibly plan and
prepare for disasters. Whether you follow the FEMA *guidelines or you
decide to utilize other preparedness resources the bottom line is the
fact you are taking measures to protect you and your loved in the event
of catastrophe. You may survive disaster but you also need to survive
till help arrives to assist you further and that can take a week or more
depending on your location and the type of disaster you are confronted
with. First responders will have their hands full and logistical
concerns will weigh heavily on response time.<br />
<br />
I worked in events with mass casualties and had to perform emergency
rescues, triage and prepare a dust off for Flight for Life and do body
recovery with limited personnel. We wore many hats that day so I know
how hard it is to be everywhere at once, let alone the exhaustion factor
when the adrenaline wears off. That’s when it can get dangerous to the
first responder. In most cases there is only a hand full of first
responders locally. Budget and manpower cuts in all branches of
emergency services across the country is a recipe for disaster
especially now. In a crisis police, ambulance and fire department
personnel will undoubtedly be overwhelmed by the shear magnitude of some
events. And it will simply take time for federal agencies to asses and
prepare a coordinated response. If there are multiple events nationally
resources will be stretched even further. Do the math; it is up to you
to survive until help arrives. The life of your family depends on it.
That back pack sitting in the corner will be the key to your survival.
If you don’t prepare it may truly be the end of the world for you and
your family.<br />

is a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with an
elite class distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, commercial,
and/or military legitimacy”</em></strong><br />
<br />
Hmm, sounds all to familiar but the reality is, Oligarchy is the wave
of the future though it’s marketed as “Globalization or the New World
Order” There is no need to point fingers since both sides of the
political isle in the US and the so called free world are saturated with
investor/politicians who’ve floated corporate interests before the
needs of the people they are supposed to serve. Insider trading and
stock manipulation are their tools of the trade. But that’s OK since
it’s all about the money these days.<br />
<br />
For that matter Russia and China don’t have communist leaders
anymore. Putin and Medvedev both touted the cause for a new world order
many times during their reign and steered Russia towards that fascist
goal. Russia’s bogus election only picked a scab on a sore that will not
heal and it was the last straw that enraged the people of Russia. Now
the cat is out of the bag and Putin will resort to violence to retain
his rule, but the people stand more defiant than ever before. Chinese
thugs who’ve infiltrated the Chinese Communist Party have turned China
into the world’s sweatshop to the joy of corporate fascists around the
world. Mao would be turning over in his grave if he witnessed what China
has become. After all, China is now ruled by the Landlord Class
Fascists with the blessings of the World Trade Organization. Does not
say much for the WTO since their membership reads like a ‘whose who’ in
worldwide tyranny, slave labor and human trafficking.<br />
<br />
If you remove all the borders, cultures and creeds you have two basic
groups, the ruling or elite class and the subservient or working class.
The protests or “Dawns” around the world are not secular by any stretch
of the word because citizens are simply pissed off at lying politicians
who front for corporations at the expense of the people. When you do
the math or follow the money it becomes a fetid journey into the dark
side of corporate corruption on a grand scale. Presidents, Kings and
dictators from around the world are being fed cash under the table to
allow corporations to rape their countries and kill their citizens.
Africa, Central and South America are a testament to the wholesale
slaughter of natives by private armies to clear the way for mines and
plantations. *Chiquita Banana was convicted for funding right-wing
terrorist organizations (FARC & AUC) who murdered Colombian
villagers for plantation land. **Pig iron produced in Brazil for US
Industries utilizes slave labor. Small wonder money is cursed for
‘profits from slavery’ is blood money.<br />
<br />
Asia’s track record is of equal pall and human trafficking abounds to
the joy of slave hungry corporations. China has a most lucrative Gulag
System and the use of slaves is an accepted part of commerce. Western
corporations have pounced on the opportunity to have cheap labor and
divested in nations that adhere to laws that govern human rights and
employer/employee relations. Environment? Forget about it. Trafficking
labor and sex slaves is beyond epidemic proportions in Asia and
corporatists have capitalized on the abundance of slaves. China is not a
stable nation and is struggling with internal revolts from all quarters
within its borders as of this writing. It’s only a matter of time
before China’s dragon reawakens and consumes the evil that has
victimized this once proud nation. And it would be poetic justice for
corporate thugs who’ve abandoned America to be stuck in China when the
revolution breaks out since they were in cahoots with the fetid Regime.
The Chinese public knows who they are and where they live to. My bad……<br />
<br />
Africa is a classic example of absolute corruption since corporations
from around the world have landed with a vengeance. Tin horn dictators
have a green light to censor torture and murder their own citizens if
they pose a threat to the corporate cash flow that lines their pockets.
Africa is a dark continent but not for the color of skin but for the
evil that prevails in this resource rich continent. Why is it OK to
subjugate the populations of Africa for corporations? The people of
Africa, regardless of nation, should be wealthy or at the very least
comfortable considering the trillions and trillions of dollars that was
made or stolen by a hand full of people. It’s a corporate free for all
as the world strips Africa of all her natural resources while giving her
citizens nothing in return. We baulk at giving aid to Zimbabwe,
Ethiopia, Somalia and other beleaguered African nations while basking in
her stolen wealth and we wonder why we are poised to suffer
economically in the very near future. What comes around goes around
homeboy/girl.<br />
<br />
What did we learn about the Arab uprisings? Though the media wants
you to think it’s all about Islam and the boogieman Muslims, it’s not.
It’s all about corruption committed by their politicians and
corporations who hoarded the nation’s wealth. We should have also caught
the part where all these fallen Arab dictators were on the take from
corporations throughout their bloody reigns. Funny how corporations had
free reign in these nations while the citizens were suppressed censored
and murdered. Small wonder the mid-east is in flames. But leave it to
the media to plant a communist or jihadist label on these events to
throw the blame elsewhere. Keeping people at odds with one another is
the mainstay of the corporate owned media and a good job they did to.
Divide and conquer, for the corporate bottom line.<br />
<br />
In contrast India is in the midst of an anti-corruption campaign lead
by Anna Hazare who founded the Indian Anti-Corruption Movement. The
movement has grown exponentially and has become a powerhouse in the
cause of anti-corruption within India. Obviously he is not a darling of
the corporate world and the media in the west has managed to keep him
out of the limelight. It’s a case for ‘out of sight, out of mind and
easy to kill’, quietly. In India he is the rave with massive public
support and his movement has identified corruption on a scale never
before challenged in India. Granted Anna faces some very powerful
international corporations, powerful political figures and it should be
clear he is the target of assassination, the price paid for championing
truth in an era of lies.<br />
<br />
It’s a ‘war without borders’ as global oligarchists wage war on the
citizens of the world, plain and simple. Greed and control are the
axioms of today’s industrialists and we are the pawns in the most
elaborate world takeover ever pulled off. When we watch protesters in
London or Greece as they protest government/banker criminality we should
realize these protesters are in the trenches fighting for democracy.
The reason the Occupy movement seems so skewed is because there are many
Americans from all quarters who are disillusioned by the absolute
corruption that has become business as usual. Everyone has been betrayed
in one form or another and people are starting to connect the dots, but
the damage is already done.<br />
<br />
Not everyone in the Occupy movement is a communist, fascist or fringe
but average citizen’s who had enough with lies, corruption and bankers
above the law. There are people from all walks of life who lost it all,
job, home and family that are protesting. Veterans who’ve fought and
spilled their blood who are disillusioned by the corruption are
protesting and the list goes on and on. The riots on the streets around
the world are directly related to one another. It is the voice of the
people sick and tired of corporate/bank owned politicians who’ve
betrayed their people. But sadly it will all be for not since corporate
oligarchists own many of our politicians and they control the
militaries, police forces and the judiciary. The one world order thing
was also a part of prophecy. And if you did read your sacred book then
you would also know this era of global tyranny will be short lived
anyway. After all, we are living in a time of great change and man is
powerless to alter the course of destiny. The only change man can alter
is pocket change, capice?<br />

Fortunately my nephew and his son stopped by my man cave with another possible suggestion, “Let’s go fishing”. That was all that was needed to be said and before you knew it I was loading up my tackle box, poles and off we went. I live in the boonies at least part of the year in close proximity to 5 bitchen lakes and in no time we found ourselves nestled in the beautiful high country of Colorado. It was fortunate I was not back in Oklahoma or Texas this week or I would have missed out on this soulful family encounter.</strong><br />
The splendor of the Rocky Mountains and the clear lake before us was the perfect escape for me and since Danny was on leave, what better way to spend the 4th of July than to be with a soldier in the US Army and his little boy, I thought. I have not seen him since he returned from overseas and we had some catching up to do. It seemed appropriate we got reacquainted on this hallowed holiday and it made this 4th of July a little more special to me. In fact I have not spoken with him at length for quite some time since he joined the US Army 15 years ago and I was eager to hear of his exploits.<br />
Little Mikey, his 10 year old son, was brimming with excitement and could hardly wait to get his line in the water. Of course I took Bear the Wonder Dog my 200lbs+ English Bull Mastiff and the two of them raced to the waters edge. Dan and I humped in all the gear as the sun sparkled on the very inviting water. I noticed Dan was quiet and I could tell he had many things on his mind so we both puffed our politically incorrect cigarettes in silence for a bit. We stopped and gazed at the mountains as the clouds caressed the peaks. Than with a sigh of relief he said, “I love the sight of those mountains”. We gazed at them as the hawks soaring above and the medicine was good.<br />
Breaking our trance; we could hear Mikey yelling at us old buzzards to get moving. Bear was already in the water trying to chase some elusive Canadian geese. As I looked at my nephew it was obvious he was not the little kid I used to toss in the air anymore, he was a man. It was more than apparent he was carrying some emotional baggage as well. I was aware of his wife dying leaving him a single parent and being in the military only compounded the burdens Dan had to cope with. Dealing with my own issues along with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder I knew that it would be up to him to address what was burning up inside of him, if he chose to. Within my tradition I was compelled to make a prayer for Danny as we walked towards the lake. It was a perfect place to pray since we were within natures embrace.<br />
We set up “our base camp” according to Danny and I got Mike’s pole rigged up and off he went. Dan began to loosen up a bit as we both made a toast to America and all the servicemen and women who could not join us. We set up our poles as we surveyed the lake for that special spot to drop our lines. Then as we walked around the shore line Dan began to open up. I listened as he told me of some of his issues and it was clear he was concerned for his little boy. The loss of his wife weighed heavily on him and he was also worried about his military career and the possibility of being redeployed. Sending Mikey to his sister was an option if he went to Afghanistan. There is no question this was a very hard pill for him to swallow and he only had 5 more years to go before he retired. He loved serving his country but he also loved his motherless son. That was a hard one but I made sure he realized how proud the family was of his military service but also shared some insights since I was a single parent in the past.<br />
I offered him some fatherly advice but left the door open for him to make his own choices. Granted I had a heads up from my brother who filled me in on his son’s plight. Though he brushed off some of his military exploits they still haunted him but his primary concern was his son Mikey. Then we got busy as our lines hit the water. Mikey caught the first rainbow and I learned that it was his first fish ever. Like a page in Huckleberry Fin, Mico came up to us with a giant smile and this fish flapping around on the line. Dan immediately assisted his kid as I watched. Danny was all smiles as he and Mikey struggled to get the hook out of the fish. Then Danny said, “I love this place”. It did my heart good to see him smile in earnest knowing his concerns.<br />
In a way, I was envious since I was missing my kids as well and watching Danny and Mikey reminded me of our outdoor adventures that seemed like ages ago. I remembered how the bears poked around our camp as we watched from inside my brother’s giant Lance camper. The bears ricked the camper like a salt shaker before moving on. I remembered my son Abe could catch fish with his hands making all my Field and Stream accoutrements. I think it was the mystic of the Rocky Mountains that held dear the memory of my parenting years. I knew Danny’s memories of Mikey’s first fish would also be preserves in the majestic peaks in the years to come. Little Mikey would forever embrace this day for a lifetime.<br />
Maybe it was watching his son catch his first fish or possibly the splendor of the Rocky Mountains that loosened the strangle hold in Danny’s inner thoughts. In any event he began to laugh and tell jokes while reminiscing some of his lighter adventures in the armed forces. It was more than apparent he loved working on “Gun Ships” and he was very proud of his crew. Then the rain came but there was no stopping the “Three Amigos” for we were combat fishing as if we were on the Susitna River during king season. Though this was not Alaska it was every bit as beautiful and for a moment in time it was a little piece of heaven. He confided in me later that he was not sure if he would get into fishing because of his emotional state. But from all indications it did him good to go fishing with his uncle for the weekend. He still faced some daunting challenges in life but he seemed to be in a better frame of mind towards the end of the weekend.<br />
I must admit it did me good as well for I was endeared by my memories of being papa for I loved raising my family and I was a single parent with 3 kids. It was the best job I ever had and it changed my life in many ways, for the better, and I believe it will be Danny’s as well. Time would be the task master but fishing and the Colorado outdoors would also be a part of the equation since I think Dan found some sanctuary in the Rockies. Nature’s medicine lifted our spirits and cleared the fog that muddles ones thoughts and it gave us more focus on what is important in life. Danny found solace and communed with his child and I stepped on some fresh bear crap reminding me that nature continued to rule in the wilds of the Rockies.<br />
As the weekend drew to a close Mikey was not eager to leave but Danny chimed in making plans to come back to the high country and his uncles house next weekend. Danny told me about a few lakes on base we could try in the future with camping facilities and the whole nine yards. As he spoke I began to see the little boy I once knew almost 40 years ago. The spark in his eyes returned as he and his boy made plans to explore more lakes and other sites in the majestic Rockies’. Mikey was all smiles after they loaded up since they decided to watch the fireworks on base and enjoy the remainder of the holiday weekend, father and son. I don’t think Danny found all the answers he seeks but I think he found a place where he can ponder the questions that weigh heavily on his mind and that’s a start. Funny what a little fishing trip in the Rockies can do eh.<br />

Just remember it was under Than Shwe’s orders his top generals “retire” and form political parties in advance of the bogus election of 2010. Many people were quietly threatened, murdered or incarcerated in the process to pull off this election scam and their blood still stains the streets. The hopelessly corrupt Constitutional Referendum of 2008 paved the way for this theatrical performance. Now Than Shwe has resumed his war against Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the National League for Democracy in earnest, via his minion of course. Than Shwe deserves an Oscar for ‘Best Fiction’.</strong></a><br />
<br />
<strong> </strong> <br />
<strong>There is no question Than Shwe’s fingerprints are all over the latest push to quash Suu Kyi and the *NLD’s political aspirations. General Thein Sein, relegated to the ranks of gardener, has no real influence and must take orders like the other disingenuous generals turned politicians. That is the cold hard fact of life in contemporary Burmese politics. Than Shwe’s xenophobic fear of democracy, Suu Kyi and the NLD is a real cause for concern because of the planned visit to **Pagan. It would not be the first time Than Shwe orchestrated an unprovoked and bloody assault on his opposition. Ultimately the International Criminal Court will determine Thein Sein’s total involvement Burma’s ongoing holocaust. But alas it will be Than Shwe who has the most blood on his hands for he continues to kill. Nothing has changed in Burma except for the civil wars in the north.</strong><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong>The junta’s relaxing of censorship laws was very short lived but no one really believed the press would be allowed to print anything that remotely resembled the truth. Even a simple photo of Suu Kyi on a magazine cover was slammed by the censorship board. Than Shwe’s soldiers continue to rape and murder Kachin, Karen and other ethnic civilians in barbaric flare, hidden in plane site. So nothing has changed on the humanitarian front either. The only hope for Burma is when the people finally unite as one regardless of race or religion against a common enemy. Than Shwe’s ultimate weapon to divide and conquer using race and religion as a weapon would be neutralized. In any event Burma’s destiny lies in the hands of her own people for the world has proven to be impotent but their rhetoric of support sounded good.</strong><br />

They’re not going to help you. My daddy is a cop in this town, and nothing is going to happen to me. You fucking niggers are going to jail.”</b><br />
<br />
The town in question is <a class="zem_slink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.5986111111,-119.215&spn=0.1,0.1&q=39.5986111111,-119.215%20%28Fernley%2C%20Nevada%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" title="Fernley, Nevada">Fernley</a> <a href="http://www.history.com/topics/nevada" rel="historycom" title="Nevada">Nevada</a> and the hooligan in question is Jacob Cassell the son of a prominent local law enforcement officer. Though the Bonta family was accosted with bats and other instruments of death critically injuring family members the perpetrators were released on the scene by local sheriff’s deputies. In a well written accounting of this event in *<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Country_Today" rel="wikipedia" title="Indian Country Today">Indian Country Today</a>, written by Velerie Taliman, the story gets much worse since justice was far from served and the perpetrators continue to wreak havoc on ethnic minorities within this region. I will not reinvent the wheel so I advise my readers to log onto Indian Country Today for the bare bones faces about this crime of hate. This deserves the attention of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations" rel="wikipedia" title="United Nations">United Nations</a> and possibly the <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=52.068333,4.353611&spn=0.01,0.01&q=52.068333,4.353611%20%28International%20Criminal%20Court%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" title="International Criminal Court">International Criminal Court</a> since the Paiute Nation is a sovereign nation as prescribed by the United Nations and this victimized family is members of the sovereign Paiute Nation.<br />
<br />
<br />
I follow news stories from around the world where human beings are victimized by criminal factions within government and industry and this fetid event should be recognized by the people of the world. Though this event occurred within the confines of the continental <a class="zem_slink" href="http://www.history.com/topics/states" rel="historycom" title="The States">United States</a> it does not mean this callous disregard for human rights should be ignored. The local officials must be held accountable for the conduct of their law enforcement agencies since it was more than apparent justice was not served and racial bias prevailed. Since I have family living in the Pyrimde Lake and Duck Valley regions of Nevada I find this to be a personal affront to my sensibilities since it is hard to define the line between objective journalism and pure anger. I am not a happy camper.<br />
<br />
<br />
Now I am addressing my readers from around the world and urge them to take a stand against this tyranny and the officials who continue to ignore this travesty of justice. This is wrong on all levels and for one of the criminals to be the son of a law enforcement officer, immunity to the laws of the land is unconscionable. The fact Jacob Cassell is a hate mongering skin head only exacerbates the issue there is wholesale disregard for the indigenous communities throughout America. This event opens up a most hurtful can of worms within all indigenous communities through out the Americas at the very least for this event is common place and under reported by the mainstream media.<br />
<br />
<br />
It would behoove my readers to sign the petition I am including in this story but also to contact the United Nations and all political figures responsible for the promotion of human rights around the world for the United States is not above the law. In a statement made by Jacob he called us “Niggers” but I must contest since the proper term is “Tree Nigger”, a name I was raised with since the 1950’s. And it is my promise I will expose Jacob and the chain of authoritarian figures who allowed the Bonta family to suffer because of the color of their skin. If justice is not served the names of all the politicians who ignore this egregious crime against humanity will be known to the world for they are now under the microscope on a global scale.<br />
<br />
<br />
To the City Counsel of Fernley Nevada, please be advised this is no longer a local issue but an international one. You are now known to the world and your conduct will be scrutinized for this was a travesty of justice, bada bing, bada bang, bada boom.<br />

In any event I was there to do follow up interviews pertaining to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Arridy" rel="wikipedia" title="Joseph Arridy">Joe Arridy</a> story, an intellectually challenged person who was wrongfully executed many years ago. But what I discovered at the banquet was truly out of this world.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>I’ve covered many stories from around the world and have grown quite cynical since humanity for the most part has been displaced by the concerns of material consequence. Fortunately this was not the case in Colorado Springs, Colorado on this hallowed night. Personally it was more like entering the proverbial Star Gate and being whisked away to a different universe inhabited by truly benevolent beings. The banquet was superb with the grace and elegance of a truly royal gathering. There was entertainment provided by Phil Taylor and the Bottom Line that added the perfect touch to this gala event. The meal was excellent and earned a 5 star rating from a culinary point of view.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Executive director Teddi Roberts gave a riveting speech along with other wonderfully talented people of this organization. World renowned Philanthropist and humanitarian Robert Perske and Terri Roberts awarded Denver Attorney David Martinez the first ever Robert Perske Justice for All Award for his invaluable efforts in garnering a pardon for Joe Arridy (Photo). Governor Bill Ritter sent a personal video message to ARC and honored the descendants of attorney Gail Ireland, the attorney who fought in vain to save the life of Joe Arridy. The event was not centered on Joe Arridy though but a multitude of accomplishments this truly noble organization, its members and donors were involved in over the last year. But what stole the show for me was the honors given to the beautiful people The ARC were dedicated to.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>The smiles of joy these wonderful human beings gave as they received their awards were ever so endearing. I found it hard to hold back the tears as they gleamed with pride for they truly faced down and conquered their disabilities to become an integral part of society. In a world that has become deaf to the cries of the innocent it was refreshing earnest and selflessness. If only I could take them back through the Star Gate to the world from which I reside. They could teach our primitive life forms the lessons of kindness and understanding, what a wonderful planet it could be. But alas, this is only science to be among true champions of humanity on this stellar night. I was surely on another galaxy where people cared for one another in fiction for the planet I live does not comprehend nor is capable of understanding the axiom of love and compassion. Besides, I would not want to run the risk of contaminating something as pure and beautiful as The ARC and all their inhabitance.</strong><br />

The sad and tragic tale of a mentally disadvantaged person (Joe Arridy) who was wrongfully executed for the rape and murder of a little girl 72 years ago bore unexpected fruit. Though the valiant efforts to save Joe from the gallows by attorney Gail Ireland were in vain he laid the groundwork for future champions of humanity to pick up where he left off. Now Little Joe has been posthumously pardoned by the noble Governor of Colorado Bill Ritter in this historic ground breaking event but the story does not end here.</b></span></div><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<b>The moment I began to covering the Joe Arridy story in 2007 I found myself surrounded by greatness and nobility in the world of humanity. Richard Vorrhees sociologist/anthropologist presented a simply yet poignant poem by Marguerite Young about Joe, *“The Clinic,” to renowned author and humanitarian **Robert Perske (Photo) and in doing so he reincarnated the spirit of Little Joe in 1992. Enraged by such a travesty of justice Mr. Perske wrote a book, **“Deadly Innocence” that chronicled the life and death of Joe Arridy in an era where mob rule, ego and lies influenced the judiciary. The story was compelling in many ways since it also exposed a dark side of American history where hatred and prejudice was the norm and socially acceptable. I would not have been privy to such humanitarians if it were not for Daniel Sanchez Leonetti author of the award winning screenplay “Woodpecker Waltz”, an epic accounting of Little Joe Arridy’s journey to Death Row.</b></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<br />
<br />
<b>I began to document the journey of Joe Arridy’s story and in the process I became spellbound by everyone involved in the fight to exonerate him. Through the lenses of my camera I witnessed the spirit of Joe Arridy as his message of loving and innocence took on a life of its own. Though his personal life was a tragedy his spirit enchanted everyone involved in this ever evolving project. From Craig Severa of ARC placing a grave stone on Little Joe’s grave to the moment Daniel Leonetti conceived an idea to garnering a pardon for Little Joe I was hooked. The unseen power and dynamic of Little Joe’s spirit was truly alive and living in all of us and continues to this day. Then Antonio Sanchez, Daniel’s cousin, contacted his dear friend and Denver attorney David Martinez to see if he could accomplish the impossible, a posthumous pardon for Joe. Mr. Martinez became driven and worked tirelessly like a man possessed, then he achieved the impossible and Joe was pardoned by Colorado Governor Bill Ritter. It was as if the spirit of Gail Ireland came to finish his work through David. When Mr. Martinez learned of the pardon there were no words to describe the elation this brilliant attorney felt.</b></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<br />
<br />
<b>Pryor to the gravesite re-dedication, on May 18th at the Pioneer Museum in Colorado Springs ARC sponsored “A Conversation about Joe” where all the parties involved in the Joe Arridy cause came to speak. It was at this time I was introduced to Terri Bradt the grand daughter of attorney Gail Ireland. It was apparent she was a chip off the ole block and I was enriched from our meeting. Both she and her husband Terry were warm, gracious and truly royalty within this gathering since it was her grandfather Gail Ireland who laid the groundwork for Joe Arridy’s pardon. Terri also gave me some invaluable insights in her grandfather’s history since he did not let any grass grow under his feet and became Attorney General for two distinguished terms in Colorado. He also bartered multi-state water agreements in the Rocky Mountain region and has become a legend within legal circles as well as an intrinsic part of Colorado and US history. Ms. Bradt wrote a book titled, ****“Gail Ireland, Colorado Citizen Lawyer” that chronicled Mr. Ireland’s many accomplishments and as I mentioned earlier, he laid the groundwork for Little Joe’s pardon. His tireless contribution to this cause was invaluable to Mr. Martinez and other researchers.</b></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<br />
<br />
<b>The frosting on the proverbial cake was when Ms. Bradt spoke of her beloved grandfather Gail Ireland. The personal insights about this champion of justice were priceless and gave us all a glimpse of who he was as a human being, a loving grandpa. Surely I was walking among true nobility and it was a good thing I had my camera rolling to capture it all since this was history in the making. There was a bit of irony for Terri and her husband as they toured around Southern Colorado though. They informed me that they encountered some negative feedback over the pardon of Joe Arridy since some people still purported his guilt or were not convinced Little Joe was innocent. In essence she and her husband got to sample some of the closed mindedness her grandfather endured while struggling to save Joe’s life from extermination. Fortunately they were undeterred by this chance encounter and the people who rambled on about the case were not aware of whom this couple was. I found it darkly humorous in my crusty sardonic way. Imagine, after 72 years and reams of data proving Joe was innocent some boneheads still had doubts. How far beyond stupid is that eh?</b></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<br />
<br />
<b>But no story about Joe Arridy would be complete without mentioning my friend and colleague Robert Perske. This vibrant man is truly a champion of the weak and innocent for he continues to be the driving force and inspiration to everyone he encounters. His eloquent and endearing manner is deceiving and conceals the fact he is also determined and dedicated warrior in the causes of humanity. He is a titan among the mere mortals who dares to cross his path and he’s an articulate adversary indeed. It was said he has large wings and it is an honor to have been accepted into his fold. He introduced me to a colleagues of his, the vivacious Anne Treimanis who built a web site dedicated to Joe Arridy simply called *****“Friends of Joe Arridy”. She had compiled many facts about the case and this site has become a bastion for those who stand for the cause of justice and human rights. I later learned she was a very prominent and successful attorney within the state she resides and one tough cookie in the courtroom. But she, like the rest of us, was smitten by the unbridled loving innocence Little Joe emanated up until he took his last breath. In all actuality Joe is very much alive and well living in the hearts of all who come to know him.</b></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<br />
<br />
<b>There are others I have not mentioned yet including the descendants of Joe Arridy, Maria Tucker and Angelina Sanchez for their stories are very compelling indeed and deserve more than a paragraph. Maria has archived Joe’s story and court documents in the library she works but this and other stories will be told when it is all said and done in the days to come. For now I still have a banquet to attend and more interviews to film because this story is not done for it is evolving as of this writing. And in the midst of all this greatness are three crusty injun dudes, Daniel, Antonio and me. At least we were not mistaken for the pool cleaners eh.</b></span> <span style="font-size: small;"><br />

As they stepped off the last rise Mona appeared from out of nowhere. Mona’s sudden appearance startled Rivkah but Betty had another response to Mona’s arrival. She opened her arms as Mona fell into them weeping silently. While holding Mona in her arms Betty gave Rivkah a motherly look. Instantly Rivkah digressed and said,</span></span> </p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“I think I’ll just make myself a cup Betty”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Feeling a little bit awkward in the midst of a motherly moment Rivkah quickly assessed the situation downstairs. All the men were playing poker and in deep thought. Maverick was clean as a whistle and the room smelled of cigars and Canadian beer. The men did not notice the drama that unfolded in the stairwell, they just studied their cards. One would grunt and slam down a card then everyone cussed and tossed their cigars around. Rivkah quietly made her way to a big fluffy easy chair near the fireplace. Relieved she found a quiet place away from the smoke she sat down in the big old chair.</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Crash! Rivkah sat on the chair and fell through the bottom since the cushions were gone. She screamed as she fell through the chair while pillows cover and extra blankets flew around the living room. Startled Rivkah looked up only to see the faces of everyone in the house looking down at her. The kids even woke up wanting to know what was going on. Even teary eyed Mona was trying not to crack a smile over Rivkah’s crash. Then Betty spoke;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“Are you ok?”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Then everyone tried to assist her in getting out of the lounge chair. In the back ground Antonio and Miguel were bickering;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Antonio said;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“Ok, pay up Miguel”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Grudgingly Miguel handed Antonio some money as Antonio continued;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“I told you someone would fall through the chair if you removed the cushions”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“Well I did not expect anyone to be using it this late in the evening. Besides, you wanted to sit on the floor anyway so you should halve the bet”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">The twosome laughed as they walked over to the chair with the missing cushions.</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“Sorry Rivkah I took the cushions so we could sit on the floor earlier. I did not think anyone would be using the chair right now”, Miguel sheepishly said to Mona.</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Then Antonio chimed in;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“EEEE, did you mean right now right now?</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Later Mona approached Rivkah as she sat drinking her coffee with Betty.</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“Rivkah, I want to thank you for cleaning up my mess and apologize for how I acted earlier. Sometimes my temper gets the best of me”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Rivkah responded;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“That’s ok Mona there is no need to apologize”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Again, in the back ground you could hear Antonio and Miguel snickering. It caught the attention of Betty who sternly turned around and looked directly at Antonio and said;</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“OK you guy’s, what are you up to now?”</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">Holding back laughter Antonio answered.</span></span></p> <p style="font-family: verdana; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none;">“Umm, we were just making a small wager on how long it would take before Mona buffed Maverick up again. <span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Miguel started laughing and the two of them unpacked their bags as if they were searching for something.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">The sound from outside was of an argumentative nature as Mona and Maverick spoke in loud but muffled tones. Rivkah continued to assist Betty in preparing coffee and cake for the guests. Sal was rescued from the awkward moment as Phil handed him a photo of a motorcycle and said;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">This is my Harley. Course it’s not like your motor bike with all them fancy gizmo’s and all. It’s a bare bones old timer with a jockey shift. Eves dropping, Betty retorted;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“You mean suicide don’t you Phil?”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Ignoring the sound of a trash can being tossed around and the bickering from the outside Sal commented on the photo;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Wow, this is a Panhead. I haven’t seen one of these in quite a while. Do you still have this scooter around?”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">The noise was getting louder and more cans were being thrashed around outside.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Rivkah was not sure how to handle the commotion but she looked to Betty for a hint of direction. Feeling Rivkah’s uneasiness she spoke;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Oh don’t worry about those two. They will eventually iron things out. Any minute the two of them will walk inside as if nothing has happened, just watch.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Gazing at the picture of the motorcycle, Phil told Sal;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Once the clash of the titans is through I’ll show her to yea. She is parked next to my big wrecker in the shop. She ain’t nothing fancy but she runs like a top, course I had to do some modifications since I bought it back in 68’.”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Sal looked at the picture then turned his head towards the door where the sound of WW III was waging.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Unperturbed the kids were gathered around Antonio and Miguel as they handed out gifts and candy. Excitedly the kids accepted the presents and eagerly ate the candies. Then the outside banter stopped and dead silence befell the once tumultuous meeting. Then the door flew open and Mona was the first to step inside the house. Seizing the moment Antonio said;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Hey, the ax murderer returns!”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Mona, with a plastic smile, said in a calm voice;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“We’re ok, just had to iron out a few things first, isn’t that right Mav?”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Stepping into the door, his shirt and hair messed up and a bit red faced, and said in an equally plastic tone of voice;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Oh yes, everything is just fine”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Still laughing Miguel retorted;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“EEEEEEEEE, at least I don’t see any blood eh. You got off easy, this time.”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Maverick smiled coldly as he tried to act with composure. Mona’s hair and clothing were just as dislocated as Mav’s. The two of them sat at different ends of the big dinning room table with chilling smiles.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">The room began to smell of fresh perked coffee as Rivkah distributed the cups on the table. When she was done she was making her way to the coffee pot when Mona offered;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“No, I’ll get it. Would you like a cup Mav?”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Umm, ok, yeah sure I’ll take a cup” He said hesitantly.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Firmly grabbing the coffee pot Mona made a bee line to where Maverick was sitting”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">The room froze as Mona stormed over to Maverick’s end of the table.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Quietly and snickering Antonio told his brother;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“I have 10 bucks on loco sister”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Laughing to himself, Miguel agreed and the two of them waited with anticipation for the final outcome.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Sal was looking read hard at the photo now. He was at a loss as to how to respond or act. Rivkah was equally at a loss as Mona got closer and closer to Maverick.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Phil reached for a kitchen towel and tossed it to Betty in silence when Mona began to pour Maverick a cup of coffee. Maverick tightened up as she poured but nothing out of the ordinary happened. In the corner of Sal’s eye he could see Antonio hand Miguel a 10 dollar bill. Rivkah was relieved that Mona did not dump the coffee on Mavericks lap, so was Maverick.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Maverick looked to Mona and meekly said;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Thank you”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">She glared back at him with her frosty smile and said;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“It was nothing”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Then under her breath she retorted;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Believe me”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Looking for an exit strategy Sal immediately asked Phil if he could see the Harley and the two of them made a hasty exit. Betty hollered;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“Chicken”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">In an effort to quell the artificial silence Rivkah grabbed the plate of cake and made her was to Mavericks side of the table. Betty made an motion to stop her but it was to late. As Rivkah approached Maverick Mona grabbed the cake from the plate and smashed it on Mavericks face. Rivkah scurried over to Betty’s side in search of safety.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">Then a genuine smile befell Mona as she pranced to her end of the table. Maverick sat there for a moment then licked his lips and said;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“MMMM, I like the walnuts Betty”</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">In the corner of the room Antonio and Miguel were still snickering and Antonio said;</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span class="postbody">“OK Miguel, fork over my 10 bucks”<br />

<tr> <td colspan="2"><span style="font-size: small;">Mona did not help Betty and Rivkah clean up after supper. Which really did not surprise Rivkah any. The guys helped clear the table and took out trash for Betty. They showed a lot of respect for her. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Rivkah wondered if anyone would get any rest tonight after all the excitement of being on pins and needles all evening.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Wow! I did not plan for all this to happen! Just to think that I would end up meeting the couple that played leap frog with me down the highways. Here we are all staying as guests together under the same roof!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Rivkah tossed and turned as she heard muffled voices outside or in other parts of the house, one sounded like Mona’s as it got louder. I wonder if I will be able to get up early to help Betty? Sleeping in a strange place never was easy. Unless it was falling asleep in a sunny hill side field:)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">What will happen next with my car and all? This has turned into quite an adventure!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">She felt some one was close by, then a touch on her arm. She heard Betty whisper, I know you are awake! Want to come down for a cup of hot milk or cocoa? I think there are some ear plugs tucked away in one of the kitchen drawers that we could use. Rivkah could not help but laugh out load as she got up to follow Betty.</span><br />
